The races and classes of the Disciples of Light

As rigid as our code of conduct, so do we have a restrictive list of classes and races that we permit in our ranks. Exceptions are unlikely to be made... ever. The Disciples of Light are an order of the Light that does not content with fighting in the Church's name, but aims to be a symbol of the Light in all its glory and grace. As such, only races and classes that follow our ways can be permitted.

Humans

The Disciples of Light find most of their recruits among the citizens of the human nations. There is no discrimination between war veterans, clerics or young soldiers eager to join their ranks. All who join the ranks of this order are given a path of ascension to a devout Knight.

Permitted classes:

  • Priests
  • Paladins
  • Warriors
  • Rogues
  • Hunters
  • Mages

Draenei

The Disciples of the Light welcomes the Light blessed race of the Draenei in their ranks. These ambassadors of their kind are kept in high esteem, regardless of their rank. Never the less, they too are placed before the same path of ascension towards becoming a Knight.

Permitted classes:

  • Priests
  • Paladins
  • Warriors
  • Mages

Dwarves

The befriended nations and long term allies of the human cities are well respected among the Disciples of Light. Their unparallelled skill with ranged weapons and axes have proven valuable in many battles... But not all Dwarves resolve to such arms. Some wield the symbolic hammers of the Paladins or staves of the Priests. However, as of late, many Dwarves have found a new faith: that of their ancestors and Titans above the Light. While the Disicple of Light still welcomes followers of the Titans as allies, only those who devote themselves to the Light and its Virtues as taught by the Church of the Light are welcomed as Brothers.

Permitted classes:

  • Priests
  • Paladins
  • Warriors
  • Rogues
  • Hunters
  • Mages

Gnomes

Through their relations with the Dwarves, some Gnomes have found their way to the Light. Some have dwelled into the Human lands and found their path to the Light there. Gnomes have no long standing tradition with any form of religion, and while their origin has recently been uncovered, they do not worship the Titans as religiously as the Dwarves. Therefor it is more exception than rule that a Gnome proves devout to the Light as the Church teaches it. It is uncommon, but the Disciples welcome those few that prove exceptionally devout to the same principles.

Permitted classes:

  • Priests
  • Warriors
  • Rogues
  • Mages

Worgen

The massive outbreak of the Worgen curse has left many citizens inflicted, separated from former lives and believes. Graced by Elven aid, these citizens can regain control over their form and mind. With this regained control, some have gone forward and followed the elves. Others returned to their former ways and their religion of the Light. The Disciples of Light recognize that the citizens of Gilneas, or anyone inflicted with the curse were once followers of the Light. Those that keep their allegiance to the Light are permitted in the order. However, the Disciples of Light also acknowledge that the Worgen form is a curse, a wicked form that has not been obtained through a natural course. Furthermore, some mysteries of the form have yet to be revealed. As such, the Disciples of Light stricly prohibit any glorification of the Worgen form, and demand an exemplary level of control over the curse before being admitted.

Permitted classes:

  • Priests
  • Warriors
  • Rogues
  • Hunters
  • Mages

Kaldorei

The Kaldorei are seen as valuable allies of the Alliance, and therefor the Disciples of Light. The Elves are as valuable as they are unique.. and so is their religion. We respect their unique religion and ways of life. We acknowledge that their ways are too different to fit within our order, but we will work and fight alongside as equals.
